J & L Backhoe Service rock breaking and removal

Rock Demolition and Concrete Removal

If you’re dealing with troublesome rocks and boulders on your property or unwanted driveways and patios—you don’t have to learn to live with them—just call the J & L Backhoe Service demolition contractors and get them removed! While there are a lot of cases where breaking is easier than building, when it comes to stubborn boulders and well-rooted concrete, you’re going to need the professional touch not just that old jackhammer you’ve got tucked away in the garage. Not only do we have years of experience in the excavation and demolition industry, we are well-versed in all safety precautions including bylaws, zoning, and completing your job so that it’s 100% up to code.

Complete Rock Demolition

When dealing with multiple mid-sized rocks it’s one thing to get them all off the ground and into our truck to haul them away. But when it comes to larger boulders, additional steps need to be taken. As excavating contractors we’re skilled at digging up, chiseling, drilling, and even exploding when it comes down to it! Using an expansion method, we’re able to drill holes and insert a fluid that works for 24 hours to expand the crevasses of a smaller boulder until it cracks open. If this method isn’t effective we’ll love on to finishing off the job with a jackhammer. On larger stones, the jackhammer method can be gone to immediately. In the case of an especially large obstructive boulder, as a last resort we may use small explosives to help out the process. Everyone one of these methods has been perfected by the dedicated team at J & L Backhoe Service over the years to be up to all safety standards and get the job done as effectively as possible.

Concrete Removal Solutions

Concrete is a useful material used in many construction builds. But sometimes you grow tired of your creation or you move onto a new property and don’t appreciate that driveway or patio the same as the last person who lived there. Call J & L Backhoe Service, and we’ll start by breaking up concrete that is unwanted, and then haul the debris away when we’re finished so you’re not left with a giant mess to clean up!

The Cost of Demolition

When pursuing excavation services, the first question is: “What about rock excavation rates?” Or, “What are concrete demolition costs?” At J & L Backhoe Service we always work closely with our clients to find out the best solution for them that will fit into their specific budget as well as timeline. Rock and concrete demolition can range from $5 to $35 per square foot but that number is entirely dependent on the material we’re dealing with, its age, location, and proximity to your home or other building on the land. But, when you’re looking to work with a company that care about the work they do, you’ve come to the right place. Every member of our team is licensed, bonded, and invested in the work they do—and it shows! We like to start off every new assignment by providing our clients with a free service estimate.
